Close finishes in an attempt to come out of pool play

Unfortunately as well as Team USA did in individual play, we were unable to advance out of pools. TJ Hawker missed the bracket rounds by 2 points. Although Austin Hanson had a 2-1 record coming out of pool he fell short of point differential to advance. Both men will participate in the Parpan competition in November in hopes of increasing the world rank standing and gaining a spot on the US paralympic team for London 2012. Team USA looked on today as Korea dominated much of the medal rounds finishing 1-2-3 in BC3 division and picking up a medal in the throwing divisions to win the world cup.
We want to again thank our family, friends and sponsors for this opportunity to compete for the honor of our nation. We represented you with total commitment, fair play and sense of pride! We want you all to know that we love you and will see you soon stateside. Go USA!

  1. Safe travels in coming home Team USA. I have to say I've enjoyed watching you play all week ! Sometimes I saw Team USA play and other times did not. That's ok I learned much in how international games are run and the competition all of you were up against. Be proud for you did your best! Jen realizing you were still healing and played as well as you did how do you do that?

  2. talk about playing through adversity! T.J. Sam and Austin you did your country proud as all of you did. All week long I saw courage, strength, and everyone doing there best how can folks not be proud of you guys. I saw the medal ceremony saw you guys come in and hey I know them and my heart was proud. I had a birds eye view and was thrilled as I like and appreciate the game of Boccia. Now I can say so that's what they do on those trips. Good Work , Well done Team USA . Safe travels and take care!

  3. A little Irish prayer for safe travels! A blessing for those taking a journey
    The love and affection of the angels be to you,
    The love and affection of the saints be to you,
    The love and affection of heaven be to you,
    To guard and to cherish you.
    May God shield you on every step,
    May He aid you on every path,
    And may He hold you safe on every slope,
    On every hill and on every plain;
    On earth and on sea until you are home again.
